Recent Weddings and Engagement Sessions
Emily and Leo met in 2014, when Emily’s family was visiting a church they had gone to a few years ago. Leo’s father was becoming the lead pastor, and Emily’s dad was going to support him with translation. Emily and Leo became friends right away, and Emily says she knew that she wanted to marry him as soon as she saw him! 6 months after they met, they made it official and started dating. In December of 2017, they went to a local Christmas lights show, enjoyed a dinner together, and Leo made sure to end the night off in the best way possible by asking Emily to marry him! She said yes!
It was Thanksgiving 2017 when Lindsay and Eric met in person after finding each other online. You never know where you’ll find love! Thanks Tinder! Lindsay had come across Eric’s profile, and swiped right. A few hours later she got a notification. "You've been SuperLiked by Eric!". They chatted for a bit, and Eric eventually asked her out for coffee and they settled on Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam. Lindsay was really glad she said yes when she saw him walk up to her…he was “so handsome”! They got coffee, walked around the lake and visited the nearby mall, and what was supposed to be a 1.5 hr "get to know you" turned into a full blown 8 hour date. A few long dates later, they got engaged in November 2018, and are now getting ready for their wedding in June!
Every details of Lindsey and Matt’s wedding was beautiful and so well planned. As it was New Year’s Eve, they had a black and white champagne theme, and asked all guests to wear black and white. It looked SO classy, and to top it all off, they got married at the Bowen Island Lodge on Bowen Island, a 20 minute ferry ride from the Lower Mainland in BC. The weather was just perfect, a balmy 2°C degrees, but no freezing rain or crazy wind, meaning they were able to get married on the dock! Yes, it was absolutely breathtaking with the water around them and the mountains behind them… you could not have a more British Columbian island wedding than they did! Their wedding party, family and friends all lined up on the side and stood as they shared vows with each other.
When planning their wedding, they wanted to find a Vancouver Wedding Venue that shared their love for the beauty of Vancouver in particular all the greenery, and they stumbled upon Brix and Mortar! A few months later and after lots of planning, their wedding day went off without a hitch, as they got hitched! I was so excited when they told me they were having their wedding at the Brix!
I’m not usually one to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, slip out of bed while trying not to wake my wife, get a quick breakfast from Tim Hortons, and drive into Vancouver, but on this chilly Wednesday morning, I had to. You see, I was meeting up with Angel and Tim to photograph their engagement session at the Brockton Lighthouse at sunrise, and later that morning we’d visit Gastown to take in the sights and sounds of that historic area of Vancouver.
I first met Erica when photographing Jess and Mike’s wedding a few years ago..she was one of Jessica’s bridesmaids! When I saw an email from Erica saying that she and her husband David were celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary and wanted some photos, I was overjoyed! We finally met up in Fort Langley on a cloudy but perfect day, and enjoyed walking around the quaint town, stopping here and there to take pictures of the two of them! They have this very special connection with the other, and always know how to make the other laugh..I love it!
When you meet Joan and Mike, you can’t help but smile as you see how they interact with one another, and as you see the love they share together. It was an honour for me to photograph them for their engagement session at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver, and it made me look forward that much more to their wedding next August! Enjoy these sneak peeks from their portrait session!
I was beyond honoured to be a part of Cara and Dimitar’s traditional wedding ceremony and reception! They got married in Hawaii, and held a tea ceremony and reception here back at home to celebrate with family and friends!
It was an absolute honour for me to be there for Lexi and Matt as they shared their vows with each other, their two kids, and their closest friends and family in an intimate ceremony at the Minnekhada Lodge in Coquitlam on a wet but oh so romantic afternoon in September.
I had been looking forward to Carrie and Brandon's wedding ever since I met them, and we had our engagement session earlier in the year. They had an intimate ceremony overlooking the Cleveland Dam, and celebrated into the night with friends and family at the Old Mill Boathouse in Port Moody.
