Minoru Chapel Engagement Photos | Allie + Doug

Allie and Doug first met at the coffee shop that Doug worked at for a few years in downtown Vancouver. There was life music playing every Friday night, and Allie had come in to see an artist she was a fan of. Doug remembers her order: a Raspberry White Chocolate cheesecake and a hot chocolate (yum!). They talked a bit while she ordered, but it was nothing beyond the usual chatter between a customer and a barista. Doug felt something special, and knew he had to do something, so into the back of the cafe he went, writing down his phone number on a note before passing it off to Allie.

UBC Spring Engagement Photos | Elizabeth + Chris

Sometimes, things are just meant to be. Elizabeth and Chris both met while studying in the same class while pursuing higher education at the University of British Columbia, and a first date here, and some more dates later, Chris popped the question, and the rest is history! These two sure know how to make each other smile, reassure the other that everything will be OK with just a slight squeeze of their hand, and aren’t afraid to laugh at themselves just a bit here and there!

Surrey Engagement Photos | Emily + Leo

Emily and Leo met in 2014, when Emily’s family was visiting a church they had gone to a few years ago. Leo’s father was becoming the lead pastor, and Emily’s dad was going to support him with translation. In December of 2017, they went to a local Christmas lights show, enjoyed a dinner together, and Leo made sure to end the night off in the best way possible by asking Emily to marry him! She said yes!

Lafarge Lake Engagement Photos | Lindsay + Eric

It was Thanksgiving 2017 when Lindsay and Eric met in person after finding each other online. You never know where you’ll find love! Thanks Tinder! Lindsay had come across Eric’s profile, and swiped right. A few hours later she got a notification. "You've been SuperLiked by Eric!". They chatted for a bit, and Eric eventually asked her out for coffee and they settled on Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam. Lindsay was really glad she said yes when she saw him walk up to her…he was “so handsome”! They got coffee, walked around the lake and visited the nearby mall, and what was supposed to be a 1.5 hr "get to know you" turned into a full blown 8 hour date. A few long dates later, they got engaged in November 2018, and are now getting ready for their wedding in June!

Stanley Park Sunrise Engagement Photos | Angel + Tim

I’m not usually one to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, slip out of bed while trying not to wake my wife, get a quick breakfast from Tim Hortons, and drive into Vancouver, but on this chilly Wednesday morning, I had to. You see, I was meeting up with Angel and Tim to photograph their engagement session at the Brockton Lighthouse at sunrise, and later that morning we’d visit Gastown to take in the sights and sounds of that historic area of Vancouver.

West Vancouver Engagement Photos | Ambleside Park, Whytecliff Park | Joan + Mike

When you meet Joan and Mike, you can’t help but smile as you see how they interact with one another, and as you see the love they share together. Having grown up in the Vancouver area, they love the colour that we get in the fall season, but really, all year round! We ended up settling on starting their engagement session at Ambleside Park, which has a fantastic view of Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge, and we ended it it up at the beautiful Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, a park which has amazing views of the ocean and is pretty much half beach, half amazing cliffs!
