UBC Spring Engagement Photos | Elizabeth + Chris

May 15, 2019

Sometimes, things are just meant to be. Elizabeth and Chris both met while studying in the same class while pursuing higher education at the University of British Columbia, and a first date here, and some more dates later, Chris popped the question, and the rest is history! These two sure know how to make each other smile, reassure the other that everything will be OK with just a slight squeeze of their hand, and aren’t afraid to laugh at themselves just a bit here and there!

Engagement Photos at UBC

It was a brisk 6 degrees C when I met up with Elizabeth and Chris again at the end of April on their old stomping grounds, the UBC campus! The wind was howling that morning, the Canadian flag at the roundabout was flapping like crazy, and I was chilled to the bone in the 30 minutes I spent scouting out locations before they arrived. After finishing that, and warming up in the car for a few, we were ready to start the session!

We walked by the Rose Garden, as I knew it would be beautiful in there…took some starting portraits, and ran out of there, as the wind was chilly! The rest of the session we walked from garden to garden, secret spot to beautiful cherry blossom tree, all the while chatting about their time as students on the campus, and loving the fact that because exams were over, there were barely any students around, allowing them access to pretty much any spot on campus, with not too many distractions! We explored the older heritage buildings the library, the original administrative building and back alleys, all the while having a great time, and sharing stories from our lives!

Elizabeth and Chris, thanks for making this engagement session SO MUCH FUN to shoot, for being down for any of my ideas showing me around the campus, and just honouring one another in the way you treated the other. I wish you nothing but the best as you plan your wedding..looking forward to the chance to see you two again soon!
