Celebration of Life Service for Lottie Gardner

The memorial service for Lottie Gardner will be this Saturday (April 10) at 1:00pm. We would have loved to have celebrated her life together in person, but due to current COVID restrictions we have opted for a live stream of the service. This way, you can be with us in spirit from the safety and comfort of your own home.

The live stream will begin at approximately 12:45pm, and the service will start at 1:00pm. If there is a change to the start time, this page will be updated with that information.

If we experience any technical issues and the service is unable to be streamed live, an as-it-happened recording will be uploaded to this page within the hour. In the event this happens, please come back and refresh this page to watch the service in its entirety.

Feel free to also leave a kind comment or a favourite memory of yours with Lottie in the live chat on the YouTube stream, or below in the comment section.

Drive-thru Information:

Following the memorial service, the Gardner family invites you to attend a memorial drive-thru at Sunshine Hills Foursquare Church from 2:30-4:30pm in lieu of the traditional receiving line. This will be your opportunity to see the family and briefly pay your respects. Please use the church entrance on 120 the Street / Scott Road to enter, and the Baker Road entrance to exit. In order to keep traffic moving the family will not be able to stop and speak with every vehicle, and we ask that you please follow the instructions of the onsite volunteers.

How to Give:

In lieu of flowers or gifts the family asks that you consider giving to either of the two donation options announced earlier this week as per Lottie’s wishes.

It will come as no surprise that in her last days, Lottie expressed her desire for her family to go to Disney to celebrate her life and their memories. She also expressed her desire to see the Make-A-Wish Foundation continue their work of sending families with life threatening illnesses to Disney as she knows the power of fun, laughter and memories. As such, in lieu of flowers or other tokens, please feel free to donate to one of these two causes in memory of our beloved Lottie. Thank you!

To donate to help send the family on a memorial trip, you can do so via this GoFundMe page:

To donate to help other families go to Disney, visit https://makeawish.ca/donate/ – you can choose to donate in Lottie’s memory by selecting “in Memory” and typing in her name in the box that will appear.

Lottie wAs an AMAZING EXAMPLE of love and Godly stewardship. Please keep watch over your family and send jesus to comfort thOse most hurting. Rip lottie and thank you for your perfect example

My memories of Lottie during my time at Sunshine Hills were wonderful. She showed me love and acceptance and was always giving of herself to others. I remember being welcomed for dinner and bible study at your home and was in awe of the wonderful meals and desserts she made. Lottie was God’s display of a godly, loving woman, wife, and mother; worship leader. She touched my life when i was so broken as a new single mom.
She was always kind, humble and caring. I remember ladies retreats and how fun they were thanks to Lottie.
I’m thankful to have known Lottie, she made an impact in my life and will be missed.

WE LOVE AND BUT WITH PAIN QE WTABD WITH YOU OUR DEAR PASTOR TOM. MAY THE LORD THE PILLAR OF OUR HOPE. PSALMS 91:1-2

You always made us feel welcome and at home with your warm, bright smile. You were a great example of a proverbs 31 woman and had a true servant’s heart. I loved how you taught with such wisdom and humor, I learned much while laughing. You were so humble and kind, church and Bible studies won’t be the same without You, Lottie.

Our beautiful sister Lottie has definite gone too soon!

We are standing with you in prayer and love. Lottie will be so very missed . Love Bill and grayce
